Sakurate
One-minute tegami about Japan. Human-written letters from Japanese
culture, history, language, etiquette, and modern life.
What is Sakurate?
Sakurate is a newsletter about Japan, sent as short tegami. Each
letter shares one small piece of culture, history, language,
etiquette, or modern life.
Every reader begins with Tegami #1, no matter when they subscribe.
Sakurate is a path, not a feed.
Questions
Each tegami takes about one minute to read. Long enough to learn
something real. Short enough to keep the feeling of a letter.
Tegami are sent a few times a week for now. The rhythm may become
daily later.
Sakurate is not exactly a travel guide. It may visit places,
customs, and moments from Japan, but it is written for curiosity
first.
